The 2025 Sustainability Report of Harghita County has been completed, providing a comprehensive overview of the region’s tourism and environmental conditions, as well as outlining the development directions for the coming years.
The document is a situational assessment that evaluates the county’s performance across six key areas of sustainable tourism. According to the results, Harghita County is particularly strong in preserving natural and cultural values; however, further progress is needed in climate adaptation, mobility, and systematic monitoring.
The aim of the report is to create a common foundation for decision-makers, professional stakeholders, and local communities, and to support conscious, long-term sustainable tourism development.
